Emo's crocheted works

Image 1. Click to open in original size.

When I was younger, I knitted and crocheted a lot. When someone just saw my crocheted tablecloths and ornaments, she thought I would show them here, so now I have photographed a small part and want to hear what you think about me showing you more.

I start by showing some really small and easy-made tablecloths, suitable for small ornaments. The one to the left is in white and the one to the right in ombrecolored yarn.

#1: Is the bowl starched or something? Or how does it stand up?

Best regards, Niklas 🎈

These are lovely, how long would something like this take to make?

Thank you for nice comments.

#3 This is so small it doesn't need to be starched. Later I will show bigger bowl and explain some ways to starch bigger things.

#4 I don't know. Some times since I made them.

Because neither my dictonary nor Google could translate the word ombre I decided to show you what ombrecolored yarn is.

Ombre is ombre in both English and Swedish.

#7 according to my dictonary is the English word ombre a kind of cardgame and Google translated like this:

Then I start by showing some really small and easy-to-use tablecloths that fit under small ornaments. The one is in white virgin and the other in broad-knit warpyarn

Then I want to show a small lightweight bowl in white. I have made many such and a piece of embroidered yarn. They are as suitable as presents.

Thank you Tammie.
It was fun making it. Sorry that I don't know who made the pattern. It was before Internet. The the patterns I used those days were from magazines.

Emo, I totally understand. I might post some things that I made years ago. I don't remember where I got the patterns either.

Happy creating!

You can starch with potato flour or sugar.

Another way is to do as I usually do, just iron and shape.

Should you have things in the bowls, then it is probably best to starch.

This cloth is not ironed or starched. When it was half dry I shaped it, wrapped around and pulled out the standing parts, one up and the next out.

I wish I was skilful enough to produce something as delicate and pretty as these.

Thank you Tammie.

Here is a handled bowl. It was not easy to shape it without starching it. I think I should have a colored band in the handle. On this picture it isn't starched.

Maybe I should show you how to starch it. Winking
